| Miu Miu Sunglasses, Salsa Purple Plaid Shirt, Hyden Yoo Cardigan, Henry and Belle skinny jeans in Onyx and Nike Court Force Sneakers West Side Highway New York, NY |
I'd like to thank the beautiful New York West Side highway running path for helping these shots take on another level of depth. This was the gorgeous view that I was staring at in the picture.
Sunset on the west side highway is usually the scene I pass on my way home by biking along the path. Outfits like these are a perfect ensemble to enjoy them. Cool sneakers, comfortable jeans, and enough layers to hop on my bike without a worry.
On my face are my Miu Miu sunglasses, a staple in most of these posts. The lenses are light enough to wear, even in twilight. The shirt is a purple and black plaid number from a brand called "Salsa" that I got from Barcelona years ago. They match my sneakers perfectly. In fact I bought both of them in Barcelona. The sales lady smiled when I put the ensemble together. "Que Perfecto," she said to me.
The cardigan is Hyden Yoo, picked up from a sample sale. It's a mens cardigan. In fact the shirt and the cardigan are both menswear items. I'm sure I could see a dude rocking this ensemble, but I think it looks pretty sick on me.
The sneakers are really what make it. They're a pair of sweet Nike Court Force sneakers that I got from a skater shop near Las Ramblas. That area has a fantastic skater culture, and I loved the colorful sneakers the Spaniards sported while cavorting down the street. I had to pick up my own souvenir to remember them, of course.
My Nike's have great pieces of detail like the plaid finish on the top of the shoe. There also is a great sheen on the purple and black leather. Of course they cost a little bit, but they've been kept in pretty pristine conditions.
Premium sneakers are a little indulgence of mine, and now that it's biking season I'll be sporting them more often. It would be much harder to pull of moves like this in heels.

| My Nike Court Force with purple plaid |
This outfit looks pretty professional and comfortable. And best of all, I'm in flats and can bike in it. Later that evening, I met up with a former client for drinks. She was wearing one of my usual get-ups: high heels, black dress, and a Chanel bag.
I think she'd win in polish, but I'd win in edge. What do you think?
