| Ophelia & I Velvet Stud Blazer, Iggy Pop T-shirt, Black fingerless gloves, AG Stilts in Jewel Corduroy and All Saint's Boots, New York, NY |
This T-shirt and Blazer have become some of my favorite items to wear in the past few weeks. The shirt is a fave because it's amazingly soft, but mostly because I've been listening to Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life" album for the past two months on repeat. I'm trying to find it on vinyl, but no luck quite yet.
Iggy Pop still amazes me. I would copy his look, but he's a 64-year-old rock star who takes his shirt off in shows. There's too much skin to emulate. You have to admire his ballsiness, even though during one of his last performances on national television one of the biggest search queries was "how old is Iggy Pop?"
You can't win them all Iggy.
As for the blazer, it just gets better the more I wear it. The studs have been individually placed on the lapels, and it just works so well with all of my concert T's. It's comfortable and warm, and has been perfect in this springtime winter that we've been having in NYC.
The pants are a pair of corduroy AG pants that I bought from the Denim Habit on sale. I already have a pair of JBrands, but I couldn't resist adding to the collection with these super soft and comfortable pants. I want to live in them.
And finally on my feet are my All Saint's combat boots with straps. They're supposed to buckle in the front, but everyone and their mom has these boots, so I wanted to do something a little different with them. I wrapped the buckles around the back and gave them more volume and a fun back. It's good to mix some things up isn't it?
On my hands are a pair of fingerless gloves I bought from Seoul for the equivalent of $3. Man I miss those street markets. They're super comfortable to bike in, and they keep my hands warm and clean from after working with a ton of denim. Besides, they look fantastic with my new multi-colored nails.
Check out some additional shots of one of my new go-to ensembles.
