Why did I put this outfit in front of crazy graffiti?  It's because in this pretty, preppy outfit I was incredibly out of place in the trendy neighborhood of Fitroy in Melbourne. There was me, in a pretty outfit, surrounded by tattoos piercings and graffiti.  Whoops!  Whatever. I still think I loook good.

I found this long cardigan in Olga and de Polga, a store on Chapel Street, a few blocks from where So-jin and I were staying in St. Kilda, Melbourne. I almost walked away from it, but it's crazy flattering and all I want to do is put it with one of my pleated skirts. I obviously loved it because I wore it the day after I bought it.  Though if I had known a little more about the neighborhood where we were heading to, I may have opted for me street-style outfits instead of my "pretty-me" outfits.

Though the outfit didn't start out so put together.

I had "lost" a pair of sunglasses earlier in the trip, though I found them in one of the crevices in my bag later that night. So of course, I wanted some sun protection.  We found this wonderful hat shop on East Brunswick Street in Fitroy called Scally & Trombone. The store specializes in vintage looks and jewelry inspired by Esther Williams swimwear. Best of all it was affordable, and buy one get one half off. I was able to pick up this pretty hat for $15 Aussie dollars. Not too shabby huh?

And it remarkably went wonderfully with the outfit.
