Collar up on the Highline in NYC

The collar around my neck is a belt. It's a kimono belt that used to belong to my old roommate Kat Johnson.  I saw it hanging in her closet one day and I tried it around my waist.  It did not look good.  Then I saw the outline of the belt and thought, hmmM this would be a great collar.  So I put it around my neck, safety-pinned it to a brown tank top, and it became a fresh new shirt.

Even though the weather in NYC has been ridiculously warm, I knew it would be a bit much to go bare-sleeved in January to the office.  So i put a white, low v-necked t-shirt underneath it to give it a bit more class.

I probably could have just thrown a pair a jeans on with them, but I was feeling a bit fashion-forward since I was going on a shopping trip with one of my uber fashionable co-workers that afternoon. So I put on my red Dl961's and my Sam Edelman over-the-knee brown boots.

Life is always more fun with a bit more color.
